TestVibe Brings AI-Assisted Browser Testing and Reviewable Playwright Code into One Workflow

Distributed by DataCult · Originally issued via Newswire

WASHINGTON, November 5, 2026 (Newswire.com) - TestVibe, a testing platform from Ice Tea Group, helps QA, development, and product teams turn descriptions of web application behavior into browser tests they can review, run, and improve. The product brings test intent, generated Playwright code, execution, and result review into a shared workspace, keeping the expected behavior visible throughout the testing process.

For teams maintaining web applications, the starting point is a user journey and a clear expected result. In TestVibe, teams organize tests into groups, describe behavior in Gherkin or Markdown, and use the Assistant to generate Playwright code. They can inspect that code before running it, refine the instructions, and regenerate tests as the application changes. An Assistant run also supports executing written test instructions directly with AI.

The workflow is designed to give different contributors a practical role. Product teams can describe what a feature should do, QA teams can organize and execute checks, and developers can review the generated code. A project brings the tests, configuration, run history, and evidence together so the team can follow a check from its original intent through to its outcome.

TestVibe runs browser checks in isolated cloud sessions against reachable application URLs. A repository connection is optional, allowing teams to begin with an application to test rather than a source-code integration. Private applications require an appropriate connection, such as a tunnel. Public documentation also covers self-hosted deployments for organizations running TestVibe on their own infrastructure.

Results connect pass and fail status with the evidence captured by a run. Depending on configuration and successful capture, that evidence can include screenshots, video, Playwright traces, console output, and network details. Teams can investigate a failed step before deciding whether to change the application, test data, or test instructions. Debug with Assistant can investigate failures and prepare supported fixes for review; it does not apply a test change without that review.

The documented platform also supports load testing and server telemetry, extending investigation beyond whether a browser journey completes. Teams can examine how an application behaves under concurrent demand alongside the results of functional checks. Available capabilities depend on the deployment and configuration; cloud updates and versioned self-hosted releases may differ.

TestVibe keeps human review central to the process. A passing test provides evidence for the behavior it checks, rather than a guarantee of complete coverage. Clear expectations and repeatable test data remain essential to useful results.
